Story: Joe Hawkins (Jerry Reed) is a hard livin' successful Country and Western singer, whose manager Leon is ripping him off. Always cash strapped, Joe agrees to an unbelievable amount of tour schedules, and soon turns for solace to drink and drugs. Joe's brother Tom (Bo Hopkins) can't believe that Joe can't see what is happening to him and decides to kidnap his brother. Leon, however, is not happy at the disappearance of his cash cow and sends a private detective to retrieve him leading to a dramatic finale.
